Our Journey to Soapmaking

Ever try something new because you need to solve a problem?

Growing up, we tried countless new products to care for our sensitive skin. Some would cause a rash, others would trigger our allergies, and various other issues… until my Mom discovered an unscented Goat Milk Soap at our local farmer’s market.

So, our love for Goat Milk Soap began!

But… it wasn’t as natural as we thought. With “added fragrance“ aka “artificial fragrance” we still hadn’t solved our problem. We needed something that didn’t agitate our skin, cause sneezing fits, or leave us with a migraine.

So we made an effort to educate ourselves, because we wanted to control what we’re putting on our skin.

After some in-depth courses (& jumping down the rabbit hole researching all kinds of soap ingredients) we decided we would try making a batch of Goat Milk Soap ourselves, so we could control the source of our ingredients.

We chose:

  • Raw Florida Honey

  • Organic Goat Milk

  • And carefully sourced organic oils such as coconut oil and shea butter for a creamy, moisturizing soap with a light lather.

We’ll keep on making this small-batch soap for our family, and if you’d like to try it, the link to place an order is available below.

P.S. I planted some Calendula in my garden this year, if we get a good harvest, I’ll be making a test batch of Calendula and Honey!
